Welcome to GearFlip! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, mobile app, and marketplace services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using GearFlip, you agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Returns Policy.

1. About GearFlip
GearFlip is an online marketplace designed for buying, selling, and trading ultralight outdoor and hiking gear. We connect buyers and sellers but do not directly own or manufacture most of the items listed by independent sellers.
Some products marked “GearFlip Direct” are sold and fulfilled directly by GearFlip.
2. Eligibility
To use GearFlip, you must:
Be at least 18 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
Provide accurate, current information when creating an account.
Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws.
3. Account Registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your password. Any activity under your account will be considered your responsibility.
You agree to notify us immediately at support@gearflip.co if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
4. Buying on GearFlip
When you purchase an item on GearFlip, you agree to pay the listed price, applicable taxes, and shipping fees at checkout.
Orders are processed through our secure payment partners.
Shipping times vary by seller and destination.
You will receive tracking information once your item has shipped.
If you receive an item that is damaged, incorrect, or not as described, you can open a Return or Issue Request through your GearFlip account.
5. Selling on GearFlip
As a seller, you are responsible for:
Listing items accurately with honest descriptions and photos.
Shipping sold items promptly once an order is placed.
Complying with GearFlip’s Seller Policies and applicable shipping regulations.
GearFlip reserves the right to remove listings or suspend seller accounts for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Platform.
6. Payments and Fees
All transactions are securely processed via GearFlip’s approved payment gateway.
GearFlip may collect a seller transaction fee or commission as disclosed in your Seller Dashboard.
Payouts are typically released to sellers after successful delivery confirmation.
Buyers authorize GearFlip to charge their selected payment method for completed orders.
7. Returns & Refunds
Our Returns Policy explains how returns and refunds are handled for both buyers and sellers.
GearFlip Direct items may be returned within 30 days if unused and in original condition.
Marketplace sales are final unless the item arrives damaged, incorrect, or not as described.
GearFlip may mediate disputes at its discretion to ensure fair outcomes for both parties.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Use GearFlip for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
Post false, misleading, or counterfeit listings.
Interfere with other users, transactions, or the Platform’s operation.
Upload harmful code, spam, or unauthorized content.
Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.
9. Intellectual Property
All content on GearFlip — including logos, trademarks, design, and text — is owned by GearFlip or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, or use any GearFlip content without written permission.
10. Limitation of Liability
GearFlip acts as a platform to connect buyers and sellers. We do not guarantee the condition, quality, or authenticity of user-listed items.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GearFlip is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the Platform or transactions with other users.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GearFlip, its team, affiliates, and service providers from any claims or damages arising from your use of the Platform, your listings, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
GearFlip reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violating these Terms or engaging in fraudulent activity.

We may update these Terms periodically. The latest version will always be available on this page, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
